You,me and love

Arya was waiting outside her hostel. Yazhini rushed outside to meet him. Still her charm pulled his heart just like the first day. He always fall in love on seeing her. Thinking all this , he got lost in his thoughts.

She tapped his shoulder to bring him back to earth. She smiled her radiant smile.

“Your smile is ….” He started something.

“Beautiful ? Cute ? ” She suggested rolling her eyes at him.

“Nah magical. Always spellbound me” He winked.

“Your have improved a lot from your first day. Being insensitive to this “She laughed.

Today is her birthday. He wanted to make it memorable for her. After thinking numerous options he got a beautiful gift for her. With his plans he wanted to surprise her.

Out of nowhere she said just like reading his mind” Okay. Surprise me today. Nothing usual, no cakes, no parties. Suggest something new.”

Smiling He gave her a neatly wrapped gift box saying “Anything for you my lucky girl. Here it is!” She, “A gift? That’s what you call something unusual?”  She laughed. He joined in her laughter and said, “First take this!”

She was about to open it, But he took that from her hand, placed it in car and said “Let’s go Out!”

They roamed whole day going to temple, restaurant and then finally to a shopping mall.

“Okay now, It’s your favorite. Let’s shop” He said teasingly.

She couldn’t control her smile , and started her hunt for dresses.

“Shall I take anything from here ?” She asked playfully, pointing all the floors .

“Yes anything” He said happily.

“How about this ? that one and that other one ?” She asked excitedly.

He laughed “Go slow. We have all the time in the world.”

She smiled and started looked around seriously.

He waited patiently , as she got busy in her shopping. He couldn’t stop himself from looking at her. She seemed so cute. He always felt the connection from the first day. He had a huge crush on her from college days, But was trapped in the fear of facing her.  Destiny was in his favor, as workplace brought them together. Then it took only few months for her to realize the love and propose. Getting the proposal from your crush when you are least expecting it. He smiled thinking about that magical moment.

“How is this ? ” She appeared after trying long list of dress,  waving one cute pink dress in her hand.

Before he could say something, She checked the price and bit her lips saying “It’s good but .. way too costly. You already spent a lot today. I will take this one ” She pointed to her second favorite dress from that and said guiltily.

Even after convincing for long time , She was not ready to take it. She adamantly said ” My birthday . My wish. Let’s go”. She pushed him out of the shop.

After roaming all day, he dropped her back at her place.

” You always make me feel special. I feel so lucky. Today is the best day in my life.” She confessed.

” Nah I am so lucky to have you. Everyday is best , when you are with me. Did I surprise you?” He said hesitantly.

“You always surprise me , even at unexpected time. I am tired. goodnight” She turned to leave.

“Wait. Real surprise is waiting now. Don’t you want to your gift ?” He pulled the gift box from the car.

“Oops I forgot” She punched her head and got ready to open it with excitement like child.

She opened and found the same dress she liked first, neatly packed,  Beautiful pink dress. She couldn’t utter a word in surprise.

“When did you get this ? You were with me , the whole time. It is that same dress right ? It’s so beautiful” She said lovingly.

” After visiting quite a long list of shop, I got this for you last week. But when you chose the same dress today it was a real surprise for me” He laughed.

“Today I can say you know me more than I know about me. I love you” She hugged him.

” Happy birthday Yazh. I love you so much. I promise years and years of togetherness with you.” He hugged her tight and whispered  in her ears.

Sweet love

Here’s one small imaginary story.

“Oye what are you thinking so seriously ? All okay right ? Parents agreed, marriage date is fixed. Everything perfect” I said and smiled broadly.

He smiled hesitantly and said “ I was just thinking about something . I might be silly . But I was just .. “ His voice trailed away.

“ Come on say “ I asked with concern.

“ I am scared . I want to keep you happy every single day in your life. You know right ? You are my dream girl. I wish to give you everything I could . Even before you ask anything I want to fulfil. But .. “ He struggled to phrase it.

“But ?” I asked in trembling voice .

“But I am not sure if I will be able to do it. I will try with my whole heart. Will you help me to do it ? Be with me, give me chance to be luckiest man in this world.” He bowed his head.

Even when few people don’t care about their wife’s wish. Here he is planning my happiness with him throughout our life. Even though They were very simple words. But it left me speechless. I am luckiest girl in this world.

N̶o̶t̶ ̶a̶ Love Marriage

Sakthi was little upset. From the night she was expecting her husband to say that. But he was very busy today, got ready early and went to work even before she woke up. There was a note at table saying “Sorry will be late today”. Her face fell reading that.

She sighed. It was their first valentine day after marriage. She wanted it to be flimy. Then She consoled herself saying after all it was life not any cinema story.  She got ready and reached office. At reception, She found a parcel with her name. She was little surprised. She took it and opened with curiosity. There was a small key chain in heart shape with a note ‘ Let’s the surprise begin’. She smiled seeing that.

She almost reached her phone to call his husband , but decided to wait and see all those surprise before calling. From there started her gifts arrival. Every one hour she got a lovely gift. Chocolates, greetings,small toys . She couldn’t stop herself from beaming.

At last , she couldn’t wait any longer, took the phone to call her husband , She got the call from him at the same time. She took the call and wanted to ask him out for dinner.

But before she spoke , he said ,  “Come down sakthi. Let’s go for dinner” . She was happy with their wavelength. She hurried down.

She wanted to say a lot. But didn’t know where to start. She kept on pondering the thoughts until they reach the restaurant.

When they went inside , She saw her final surprise, candle light dinner, that was something she always wanted to have with her love. She could not hold her tears, She remembered all these days she was sad thinking it’s just arrange marriage , not love marriage and it will not be exciting.  She took a minute to compose herself.

She cleared her throat and said blushingly “I love you Shree” , He looked up at her and smiled.

“At last hearing this from you.” He said with affection.

She laughed and said “I didn’t even hear that yet from you ”

He cleared his throat nervously and said ” you know already right ? I love you forever”. She smiled wholeheartedly.

Being silent people , they rarely expressed their feelings.they completed the dinner in silence and got up to leave.

Sakthi took his hand for first time by herself, That was first public gesture of love she had shown. He held her hand tight , silently saying , they have long way to go in their life together. She was very happy, knowing some dreams do come true at unexpected time.

The End or The Beginning?

” Will the world end in 2012?” programme was going on in Tv. i was staring at the screen blankly not absorbing a single word.My mind was wandering somewhere between reality and my dream world. If the world really going to end ,  Did i left anything incomplete? and then lot of images came into my mind. It was like someone was playing with fast forward button in remote.But among them  something held my attention. Her face…

It felt so real. and I even felt smile lit up my face.Then i thought what would i do now. Should i tell her my feelings? what would be her reaction?How would i tell her? But i had no time left if end was near then this would be my last chance.

I brought up some courage and decided to try . I was feeling restless but i calmed myself ‘ nothing to worry ‘. I met her next day . while one part of my mind was blocked in fear and hesitation , other part of my mind was admiring her beauty. She was one of the beautiful girl i met But  her character was the reason of my love

She demanded to know the reason behind our meeting. i said ” It is important thing . i dont want to say any filmy dialogue.  i love  you more than anything in this world. and you are the girl i love and respect next to my mom . Even if it is little time left i want to hold your  hands and meet the end. will u be marry me? ”

At first she didnt say anything. Then she broke into tears. i felt very guilty and was about to say sorry. She looked up and smiled at me. ( happy smile with tears.stupid girls !! ) i also smiled at her.

She whispered to me  ” Idiot ,it took you this long to realize that. how long i was waiting for this. ”  But now we had most pressing problem , task of convincing our family. i took her to my home , and told about us to my parents. From their expression it was clear that they  didnt expect this. But something in my face made them agree to this (may be longing for my love ). and her parents was also  hesitating at first but they agreed at last ( may be coz it’s end )

Our marriage was simple with only the presence of  family members. i thought may be this is not end of the world, may be we would be telling our marriage story to our grandchildren oneday…

Whatever happens next we are ready , we have eachother to hold and love. I kissed her forehead and thought in my mind even for the small period of my life ,
” i got my life… my dream.. my love … my wife”

she was sleeping and i was too happy to sleep today. As  i was lost in my thoughts she murmured in her dreams “my raj” . I turned around and smiled at her my name sounds more beautiful when she said it .
